Biotechnology:
This department was started in 2003 with the permission of the Govt. of Orissa to offer courses in MSc. for Biotechnology with 64 seats.
Being the pioneer of the biotechnology revolution in the field of education in Orissa, we are affiliated to Utkal University
under graduate and post-graduate courses.The BSc. honors’ course which began in 2005-06 with 64 seats has now been enhanced to 96 seats. We have an expercienced
and highly qualified teaching faculty and supporting laboratory staff with adequate hands on experience.
Bioinformatics:
This department was started in 2003 with the permission of the Govt. of Orissa to offer courses in MSc. for Bioinformatics with 64 seats.The parallel growth in the field of Information Technology and Life Sciences merged in the field of Bioinformatics aims at the optimum use of technology in Life Sciences to bring about a amalgamation of both the sciences. Our Instiute is currently offering short term courses in Applied Bioinformatics and in Silico Drug Designing.
Advanced Computing:
The Department began with an Undergraduate course(BCA) and it is being proposed to be enhanced with MCA, MSc.(CS) and Mtech Programmes, The department
is having highly motivated professionals who can guide techno cads. At present the Department has got three sponsored projects from scientific
institutions as well as the industry. Aprt from this,it is facilitated with high-end computing devices having a dedicated high speed internet zone.
Management and International School of Law:
Business relates to the state of being busy either as an individual or the society as a whole, doing commercially viable and profitable work.
Keeping this view in consideration we are planning to start BBA programmes in the coming year. Furthermore it has been proposed to start a five year integrated LLB course in
the coming session.
